A
Action
The amount of money wagered over a period of time.
B
Ball
The ball in a game of Roulette is a small plastic ball spun in the opposite direction of the wheel. The ball determines whether you win or lose, depending on where it falls on the wheel.
Ball Track
The outer area of the wheel where the ball is spun is known as the Ball Track or Backtrack
Black
In Roulette you have the chance to bet on a colour that the ball will land on, you can choose either red or black.
Blacks
The chip worth $100
Bottom Track
The bottom track is the slanting inner area of the wheel which the ball rolls down to before it lands on a number.

Check Rack
The Check Rack is the tray which holds the chips for a game, also known as the Chip Tray/Rack.

The tokens used for betting, they represent different values of money.
Colour Up
To colour up is to exchange smaller value chips for high value chips.
Column Bet
A column bet is a bet made on one of the three columns of 12 numbers. If you bet on one of the columns and one of the twelve vertical numbers wins, you’ll collect a payout.
Corner Bet
A corner bet is a bet on four numbers at the same time with the same wager. Also known as a Square Bet.
Croupier/ Dealer
The wheel operator is known as a Croupier or Dealer.

Dozen Bet
A dozen bet is a wager on 12 numbers at the same time.
Drop
The total amount wagered across all players in a game.

European Wheel
The European wheel contains just a single zero, while the American when has two zeros.

High Roller
The term given to someone who plays for big money.
Hoca
Hoca is thought to be where Roulette has its origins. It was a game which was similar in format to Roulette and is thought to have developed to become the game of Roulette that we know today.

Inside Bet
An Inside bet is the term used for a bet placed on any individual number.

Line Bet
A line bet is a bet across 6 numbers in a line.
Low Bet
A low bet is a wager on one of the low numbers.
Low Roller
The term given to someone who plays frugally, with small bets. The opposite of High Roller.

The area in offline Roulette where the games are set up.
Press
To press is to increase the amount wagered by doubling up after a win.

Red
The wheel is split equally between red and black numbers, excepting the 0. Opt to bet on either red or black as part of your gaming strategy.

Split Bet
A split bet is a combination bet where two numbers are bet on at the same time.
Spread
The spread is the difference between the minimum and maximum bet.
Stack
A stack is a group of 20 chips.

Toke
A toke is the term used to denote a tip.
Trio Bet
A trio bet is a combination bet where three numbers are bet on at the same time.
Twelve Number Bet
Another term to denote the bet on any one of the three columns of twelve numbers.
Two Bet Number
A two bet number is the combination of betting on two numbers at the same time.

Zero
Zero is the only number excepted from the red/black rule on the wheel. It is the only number in green on the wheel.
